Samsung are a Korean multinational that have their headquarters in Seoul. Samsung companies operate in many different industries including shipbuilding and construction, however they are probably best known for their Electronics including laptops and computers. In fact they are regarded as the largest electronics manufacturer in the world.
The word Samsung comes from the Korean word for 3 stars however the company has not always been the multinational laptop and electronics manufacturer that we know now. Originally started in 1938 with just forty employees Samsung has, during it’s history, diversified into multiple markets is now estimated to have over 250,000 employees worldwide.
The Samsung electronics business manufacturers everything from washing machines to fridges to laptops and mobile telephones. There is almost no electronics market that Samsung does not play in, and in most they are the market leader.
